The Red Devils is a newly formed team created to develop young men into productive, responsible citizens of their community. Being part of a team affords them the opportunity to become physically fit, be role models for our youth, and provide entertainment for their community.
We provide a developmental program for students that have graduated from high school. The students are taught how to develop physical and mental basketball skills, as well as how to become committed team players. The players are also encouraged to pursue their educational goals. We work closely with them to get them in college.
Giving back to the community is also an important aspect of this program. The young men are being groomed to become community conscientious. The players are encouraged to volunteer in their community. Their latest projects have included volunteering for “Children’s Healthy Day” at the Y.M.C.A. and helping out with a local youth basketball camp.
The skills that are being taught in this program will extend beyond the basketball court and help to develop the characters of the young men. However, as a newly formed team we are faced with the financial challenges of obtaining equipment, uniforms and travel expenses.
